Since opening The Parasol & Swing Company in 2017, it has been our mission, and great pleasure to create amazing flavours, memorable experiences, and to provide a fun & friendly environment in each of our venues, and now, in 2025, we're bringing that to you.
With our award winning team, we constantly aim to educate not only ourselves, but our customers as well on the unique products we serve, the food we prepare and the bespoke drinks we create.
With Parasol & Co, we're not only just here to share our venues with you, but we have the ability to bring those experiences and flavours to your home, office, function space, beach, bach, boardroom, bar, and anywhere you need them!
Who we are
ADAM NEAL - GENERAL MANAGER
Adam's journey in the hospitality industry began in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 2005. Throughout his career, he has gained diverse experience across various establishments, including dive bars, nightclubs, private members clubs, restaurants, pubs, and cafes.
Notably, Adam has achieved success in several cocktail competitions, with his most significant win being The Beam Bar Legend in 2013, which was New Zealand's largest cocktail competition at the time.
In 2011, Adam took on his first General Manager role with the Britomart Hospitality Group (BHG). Over his eight years with BHG, he progressed to become their Group Operations Manager, overseeing 15 venues and a team of over 200 staff. In 2017, Adam partnered with Jason Rosen to establish the Parasol & Swing Company.

CHRIS MCCLEAN - EVENTS & OPERATIONS
Chris started his career in the hospitality industry in Northern Ireland back in 2009. Since then, he's gained experience in all sorts of establishments, from restaurants and cafes to pubs, clubs, and cocktail bars. For the past ten years, his focus has been solely on the drinks side of things.
After moving to New Zealand in August 2016, Chris joined Bedford Soda & Liquor, a busy cocktail bar located in Ponsonby Central. His experience in this role grew, leading him to become the Bar Manager and later the Venue Manager, where he oversaw the daily operations.
In 2023, Chris took on a new challenge as the Operations Manager for an events company. This provided him with a different perspective on hospitality, focusing on creating memorable experiences through expertly crafted cocktails.
